"Lately, we've been selling some champagne and have achieved more than 20% investment return in just over a year," Lapierre said. "Our plan is to make it even better and be able to scale up."

Founded by Nick King and Patrick Sanders in 2019, Vint aims to bring high-quality wine investments into the market. It launched in May 2020, offering shares of its SEC-qualified wine and spirits series securities starting at $25 per share, which were later sold with investors receiving proportional returns. Vint claims to be the only SEC-qualified wine investment platform where investors can add their Vint portfolio to their personal retirement accounts (IRAs).
Early this year, the company released its first "en primeur" wine, including 50 cases of Syrah from Saint Barbara produced by Christine and winemaker Peter Hunken for the 2021 vintage.
