"Language is an important component in experiencing everything," American artist Joseph Kosuth explains. "These experiences are formed in some way through language. The experiential framework clearly always has been at work; I believe Vitruvius is an important source for understanding concepts such as proportion."
Kosuth, a leading proponent and theorist of conceptual art, created a series of works centered on "the word 'wine'" and Vitruvius's introduction to architecture in Chapter 31.3 by interpreting Ornellaia (Ornellaia) personification between elegance, power & complexity in 2020.
The paper label on each 0.75-liter bottle features an English quote; among the 100 Double Magnum examples featured are tree engravings representing the etymology of "wine"; while ten Imperials each have unique words carved into them using glass engraving techniques.
Each branch stands out in white display; Vitruvian quote translation or its modern descendant is highlighted in languages such as Albanian, Serbian-Croatian language , Latin , Italian , Hindi , Hebrew , Modern Greek , Irish German Armenian . For Salmanazar s word tree etching & basic quotes from Vitruvius are both English ; inscriptions on bottle engravings are gold-plated .
