随着罗伯特·帕克对法国酒销售价格影响越来越大，他难以客观地给这些著名酒庄低于90分的评分，因为这微小差异对许多商人而言意味着数百万欧元损失。身处利益漩涡中心的他终于在2012年将《葡萄酒倡导者The Wine Advocate》杂志转让给新加坡评酒师团队，并于2014年开始放弃亲自打分工作。

然而，与其专注于单一风格和体系之外的意大利葡萄品种和产区相比，罗伯特·帕克似乎意识到了自己的某些错误。他决定重新认识并发现意大利葡萄酒的价值与魅力。

近日，Robert Parker与WineNews记者Monica Larner共同举办了首届“The Wine Advocate”大师班，在托斯卡纳深入探索意大利葡萄酒魅力。1985年的Sassicaia是他极为推崇的一款，以“37年职业生涯内最中意的一款”形容。这款wine被认为是将Italy带到与France平起平坐的地位之一。

"Italy and France are both historic countries in the world of wine," Robert Parker said, "these two countries have been, and will continue to be, industry benchmarks for the entire globe, especially for those 'new world' winemakers."

Robert Parker补充道：“In the entire European range, Italy is the country with the most native grape varieties. It is a treasure trove of wine in this world. Diversity and complexity are the advantages and charm of Italian wines. They deserve respect and protection.”

For Park, red wine brings him greatest joy - diversity. "In my career life," he exclaims, "the most beautiful thing is seeing indigenous grape varieties continuously flourishing - especially in Italy — this land where indigenous grape varieties bloom like flowers."
