WBO recently had the opportunity to sit down with Rodrigo Jackson, the Managing Director of Concha y Toro's Asia Pacific region, to learn more about the company's strategy and plans for China. According to Mr. Jackson, the company has been working hard to increase its presence in China through a combination of marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships.
"We have been focusing on building our brand presence in China through a variety of marketing activities," said Mr. Jackson. "We have also been working closely with our partners to ensure that our products are available in as many locations as possible."
In terms of sales figures, Mr. Jackson reported that red wine from Chile has seen significant growth in recent years, with 2016 being a particularly strong year for exports to China.
"Last year was an excellent year for us," he said. "We saw a significant increase in demand for our wines, especially from Chinese consumers who are increasingly looking for high-quality products."
Looking ahead, Mr. Jackson is optimistic about the future prospects for Chilean wine in China.
"We believe that there is still a lot of potential for growth in this market," he said. "We will continue to work hard to build our brand presence and provide high-quality products that meet the needs of Chinese consumers."
