在结业式上,欧吉宁表示:“Italy's wine-making history and culture are rich, with diverse soil resources and grape varieties. The quality of Italian wines is characterized by individuality, reflecting the country's cultural heritage. Italy and China share many cultural similarities in their pursuit of a beautiful life.”
Bruno thanked the professional wine enthusiasts in northern China for their special support during the pandemic. He said: “Although we cannot travel to Italy this year due to COVID-19, this course allows us to feel the unique charm of Italy. Italian wines' diversity can match the grandeur of Chinese cuisine. I hope that while learning about wine, participants can also delve deeper into Italian culture. Through this doorway of wine, let people discover Italy's wonders across all aspects.”
Since 2016, over 1,000 students have become Italian wine ambassadors after completing courses held in 16 cities across China.
During an interview with Bruno at the Beijing station course:
Q: What achievements did "I Love Italian Wine" series activities achieve in 2020 under pandemic conditions? Besides organizing these events, what effective work has ITA done?
A: From September onwards, we held "I Love Italian Wine" courses in six cities including Shanghai and Xiamen... Each city produced around 60-65 'Italian Wine Ambassadors'. These two-day-and-a-half courses allow tasting over 50+ wines from Italy's major regions... In China, there is still much room for deepening understanding of Italian wines...
Q: What profound feelings do you have about China since becoming ITA's coordinator officer for one year?
A: I deeply love Chinese culture... I think I am slowly integrating into Chinese culture... Sino-Italian relations are very friendly... This year marks our diplomatic relationship’s golden jubilee...
Q: How does your experience as a coordinator officer differ from your previous roles?
A: My role is more focused on business development than before...
Q: How do you perceive changes in consumer behavior due to digital technology advancement?
A: Digitalization has reached an extremely high level here...
Q: Given recent anti-dumping measures against Australian wines by Chinese authorities affecting imports globally,
A:Nowadays our market share is approximately around 6% which is far lower than potential compared to international status; We should seize opportunities now & promote further!
