2012年,欧盟推出了一个新的概念——Appellation d'Origine Protégée (AOP),它取代了一些传统上的PGI(Protected Geographical Indication)和PDO(Protected Designation of Origin)。

Bordeaux wine region overview

Bordeaux is one of the most famous and prestigious wine regions in France. The Gironde estuary, which flows into the Atlantic Ocean, forms a natural border between this region and the rest of Aquitaine. Bordeaux wines are made from a blend of different grape varieties, with Cabernet Sauvignon being one of the most prominent.

The classification system for Bordeaux wines was established in 1855 by Napoleon III at the request of Emperor Napoleon III. It divides Château producers into five categories: Premier Cru Supérieur, Premier Cru, Deuxième Cru, Troisième Cru and Quatrième Cru. However, there are also some other classifications such as Crus Bourgeois that were introduced later.

The main grape varieties used in Bordeaux are Merlot (which makes up about 50% to 70% of red blends), Cabernet Franc (around 10% to 40%), Malbec (usually less than or equal to 20%) and Petit Verdot (<1%). Other grapes like Carmenère or Gros Manseng may be used too but only in small quantities.

Château Lafite Rothschild is considered one among many great wineries located here known for their high quality red wines produced using these various techniques.

Burgundy wine region overview

Burgundy is another famous French wine-producing area known for its Pinot Noir-based red wines rather than white ones as opposed to Champagne where they make mostly white sparkling wines using Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes along with Meunier's cousin called Cinsault while not common but sometimes included in certain recipes too!

These two regions produce very distinct types because it's all about how you grow your plants - whether you let them get wet during harvest time when rain falls heavily; how long do they stay on vine before picking? And so much more!

It has been said that Burgundy produces more diverse flavors compared to other areas due mainly because each plot within this valley can have unique soil compositions giving rise different aromas within same type bottle depending upon conditions experienced by vines over time since planting began until now today tomorrow eventually forever onwards we go around roundabout circle circles never ending loop infinite cycles never stopping ever getting closer yet further away always remaining close yet distant simultaneously both together separate intertwined entwined enmeshed connected disconnected interconnected disentangled reconnected re-entwined re-connected again once more then gone back again anew once again returning repeatedly turning coming full circle roundabout circular cycle infinity boundless endless unending never-ending going nowhere fast slow quick swift steady steady pace race sprint marathon marathon runner marathons runners running racing running races run racing runs runner runners running runners running faster slower quicker slower still steady pace race sprint marathon marathon runner marathons runners
